Welcome to the GAIN for Wales Project

GAIN (Getting Accessible Information Now) for Wales is a three year project funded by the Big Lottery Fund.  The project is led by RNIB Cymru, in partnership with Cardiff Institute for the Blind, North Wales Society for the Blind and Shaw Trust.  Members of the Wales Accessible Information Forum advise the project.

Project Aims

• To ensure more people with sight loss have access to information in a format they can read including large print, audio, electronic and braille.
• To deliver a programme of regional seminars to inform people of their rights under the Disability Discrimination Act, and to empower them to exercise these rights.
• To deliver a programme of regional seminars to inform service providers of their ethical and legal obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act.
